I agree with whoever said Daron shouldn't be singing. The guy is unique, yeah, but it sounds crap when he pines away alongside Serg.
The reason System did so well when they were young was that Serg was a crazy vocalist. They lose a lot of spark when Daron assists with vocals, he doesn't have that same punch. Or should I say, he takes away some of Serg's punch. BYOB was the only time Daron has really shined on vocals, that shriek he does "BLAST OFF...", that was class, but the rest is like listening to nails scraping the blackboard. |

Quit ruining my fun woman :( You showed me the site in the first place. |
I got my hopes up. They'd stop making music and be legends. Now their career will simply fizzle out

I think mesmerize and hypnotize really proved why SOAD rocks Every song on all of their albums is amazing There is not one song i don't like SOAD will go on to become huge legends in my opinion They are innovative and original and have a sound which can only be distinguished as SOAD - which it is rare to find a band that hasn't just copied other bands Now on Daron Malakian singing - i might be the only one but i think he has a really great voice i think that Serj and Darons voices sharing vocals and joining for harmonies works really well Soldier Side would not have the same power in it if Daron hadn't provided vocals for it I think Lonely Day and Lost in Hollywood are great songs and they show off his voice - but Serj does the majority of the vocals, if he didn't it wouldn't be SOAD |

Your opinion doesn't count as much for two reasons. 1) You are a fan boy/girl. That is denoted by your name. 2) They are all you post about and care about. System is good but let your tastes grow. If you like political music listen to RATM or DK and people that were influenced by them. |
I think the only thing actually unique about SOAD is the vocals. Everything else has been done before.
