Same with me, I loved them in high school. I had a weird variety of tastes back then. SOAD, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Oasis, Green Day, REM, etc. But yeah my tastes just evolved and honestly I still know like every word to Toxicity. I thought that was their peak and the albums got worse afterwards

Whats the general opinion about the Scars of Broadway album? Listened to it for the first time the other day and really liked it. Always thought of Daron Malakian as the most talented of SOAD anyway.

System of a Down
I love all of SOAD's songs. They are a very unique band and I never get tired of their music. I just love Serj Tankian's singing. Overall, System of a Down is a very weird band, but their music is just so awesome.

SOAD are probably one of the only bands I've liked and listened to continuously over the past 10 years, since the age of 10. Quality band, although I didn't really like the increasing influence of Malakian into the Hypnotize/Mesmerize albums...It didn't help that they come out when emo was just becoming popular in school and many of them started jumping on the SOAD bandwagon. Not that I want to sound like a little hipster, but they were better in the early days.

I really like the lyrics of System of a Down. Their lyrics really cause me to analyze the hidden meaning. They cover so many political and religious topics in their songs; I find that impressive. SOAD is a band that I would listen to over and over again.
