I'd always respected them.
I didn't start liking them until my best friend's boyfriend was blasting them in the car one day and we were all rocking out- whatever, it was amazing. =D What does everyone think about the solo albums? >.> |
Serj's solo album is amazing. It's everything Toxicity was missing and more.
|
Really?
Interesting. Many fans of SOAD didn't seem to like that album of his. |
Well it's not nearly as hardcoreish, so fans of SOAD might not enjoy it as much, but just because it's a lot slower and more piano-fronted that desn't make it any worse than anything by SOAD
|
That's very true.
I think it's because it isn't the same that they don't like it, though. When a band comes out with something that veers away from society's perception of the band, people become confused. |
I agree 100%, but they shouldn't have excpected Serj's solo project to sound like System of a Down in the first place.
I just like both:D. |
When Sonny Moore came out with his solo album, I was SO confused.
It was nothing LIKE From First To Last. It was quite upsetting. |
Well, I didn't like his solo at all, but I'm not that big a From First To Last fan either, so I wasn't excpecting too much in the first place.
|
Hehe.
I have a wide range in music taste, I suppose. I love FFTL. It isn't that I was expecting something, it was more that I was hoping it would change THAT much. Which it did. Which disappointed me. Because Sonny was the best part of that band. |
Ha.
You like Poison the Well by any chance? Kind of a mix of SOAD and FFTL in my opinion. |
