I would actually respect a pop music fan, as long he/she listen to what they like without bragging too much and appreciates that there's more to music than whats popular.
Having said that, maybe the UK might have all these radiohead copycat etcetc politics, but as an outsider, they seem fine and nothing lame TBH.

Thankfully I consider myself no major fan of either. But creatively speaking, if not instrumentally, there's one HELL of a lot more talent on the Radiohead side.

They are not talentless. There was no suggestion of that. They just don't come near to the creative heights of Radiohead. I mean, one can like Muse more, I've got no beef with that at all. But to suggest that they're actually better artists is, imo, ludicrous.

These types of debates are never going to end, I think muse is better then radiohead musically, and you think the opposite. The best solution is to just agree to disagree since this will go on til the end of time if it doesn't stop soon.

Pre-Black Holes Muse is one of the blandest, most uninspired and insipid prog bands I have ever heard in my whole life. There is little to distinguish between way more than half of the damn songs on Origin of Symmetry and Absolution, and even less in terms of substantial ideas. At least BlackHoles&Revs is slightly more interesting, but Muse fans claim the other albums are the best, so you know what, I'll go even further than the previous statement: far as I'm concerned, it's not even an opinion, it's empirical observable fact: creatively, this bland piece of unduly, sickeningly self-satisfied piffle has absolutely nothing on Yorke and Radiohead at all.

And I'm not even much of a RH fan.
