The Devil Wears Prada
Iheard them a few months back, friend of mine showed me them. They're alright, sounds like every other hardcore-metal band imo.
Is the movie any good???
My friends told me it sucked, most of them are dudes though.
I hear they are having to change their name, they were supposed to come here about a week ago but something happened and they didn't make it out, good music, though.
Someone better call BTBAM and Underoath and tell them a band is using their songs. Oh wait....lawl
I like them, and I think they are a pretty original Christian band.
listened to them today for the first time in months. they were actually refreshing; they have good progression through their songs and the vocalist varies his vocals much more than most bands. also, for a band incorporating electronics, they occasionally manage to come off as really tough. their electronics aren't gimmicky either. all in all, solid band.
i have not heard Plagues, so i can't vouch for that album. |
eh not a fan.
Sounds like every other metal/grindcore whatever the hell they are coming out today. None of their stuff really impresses me. |
fuck this band
yeah, this band is garbage upon garbage. ****ty metalcore at its finest.
Omg I Love These Guys, So ****ing Brootal
i've never come across anyone on this board that listens to metalcore, so i consider all of your opinions invalid and ill-educated on the matter. if you dislike the genre of course you're gonna dislike the band.
I don't dislike the genre. I happen to listen to it every here and there, I just really don't like the band.
i'm actually a metalcore fan, i just don't like this band, that's all.
ok. also, at least give some reason why you don't like a band. don't just say ZOMG SUX
not fast, not broootal. i dont like it.
ok, you just made me visit their myspace. personally, i really didn't hear anything i wouldn't be able to hear in metalcore bands that came before them, i hear some of that chugging double bass palm muted stuff, then the catchy singing parts come in, then that's it in a nutshell. there are some bands who could catch my attention for doing that, but they just don't do it for me. 7 angels, 7 plagues did the melodic metalcore thing pretty well though.
i dont know these guys basically try to sound like any other metalcore band, I listened to some of their songs and they sounded like jfac ripoffs. Not my cup of tea. I like some metalcore, just not generic metalcore I guess like 90% of the bands out there. Ion Dissonance is boss though.
ion dissonance started sounding horrible when gab left. they ended up sounding like generic deathcore afterwards. solace blows minus the herd out the water, basically. i do like scarlet and spitfire though, those two bands sound great with jon spencer on vocals.
yea i agree, I dont like new ion dissonance, they def do sound generic now. I need to check scarlet and spitfire out
i got all of scarlet's albums on mp3, want one? i also have some spitfire stuff here
shut up guys. your opinions are invalid because you know nothing about christian chug-core that is sometimes brootal, and sometimes cheesy and heartfelt.
but seriously, i've heard every element of this band approximately 1.5 billion times. i think that says enough. |
this band is popular for one essential reason...its called being on Rise Records lol. They sound so much like every other band and pretty much rip off of underoath with their singing. I hate their breakdowns, remind me of any other metalcore band lol. I hate those fake screaming vocals. I like bands that scream their lungs out.
dude, def check out scarlet. Cult Classic is a solid release.

ion dissonance has never sounded like deathcore. plz see Bloodlust for deathcore. not this new age Spacecore aka mosh metal garbage, most of it out of the UK.
ID went from being tech metal or "mathcore" to moshcore on Minus the Herd. they are basically a crappier version of The Acacia Strain now. though some of their songs aren't bad, don't get me wrong |
Let's take metalcore, death metal, hardcore, and pop punk, and throw them all together, but only take the catchy aspects of every single one, so that there's not a trace of anything genuine or original in our music and we therefore rape the genres from which we steal and hurt them by association with our piece of shit that we call...well what do we call such an abomination? Hey! We're Christian right? How can we have such a terrible band but still have a philosophy of we're holier than thou that can be shown through our band name?
"It's the same concept as our lyrics "emeralds hold no hope" and many many others. What we believe it to mean is that possessions don't matter at all and someday everyone will realize that this is true. When standing before God, He won't care about your sweet Prada scarf or Gucci shoes or whatever. It's a Christian reasoning for the name, we didn't name it to attempt at being fashionable or whatever." But God loves girl pants like fat kids love cake. EDIT: I also know a girl that has sucked every single band member's ****, so we can add hypocrisy to that. |

say em at warped like a month ago. pretty amazing bro
The Devil Wears Prada is a waste of time and money what they sing shouldnt be a genre of music
that's funny, i'm not interested in the very least.
i meet them randomly at my mall,
they were pretty much ****s and conceited, but i do love their music :band::band::band::band: |
Eh, they're alright. I only like a couple songs from them because most of them you cant even understand what they're screaming.
i think they are bad ass you are just a bunch bitch asses who dont have a taste for real music
Im sure they are conceited, haha real music isnt overproduced cliche scenecore
