i've never come across anyone on this board that listens to metalcore, so i consider all of your opinions invalid and ill-educated on the matter. if you dislike the genre of course you're gonna dislike the band.

ok, you just made me visit their myspace. personally, i really didn't hear anything i wouldn't be able to hear in metalcore bands that came before them, i hear some of that chugging double bass palm muted stuff, then the catchy singing parts come in, then that's it in a nutshell. there are some bands who could catch my attention for doing that, but they just don't do it for me. 7 angels, 7 plagues did the melodic metalcore thing pretty well though.

i dont know these guys basically try to sound like any other metalcore band, I listened to some of their songs and they sounded like jfac ripoffs. Not my cup of tea. I like some metalcore, just not generic metalcore I guess like 90% of the bands out there. Ion Dissonance is boss though.

ion dissonance started sounding horrible when gab left. they ended up sounding like generic deathcore afterwards. solace blows minus the herd out the water, basically. i do like scarlet and spitfire though, those two bands sound great with jon spencer on vocals.
