Because theres a little thing called prog folk. Which follows most of the same themes as prog rock, but in a non rock context.
Not to mention guys like Kraftwerk are considered prog, and they're not really rock either. I wouldn't limit prog to being just a rock sub-genre, especially when considering how many other genres it has spawned from. |
