Bumped.
I'm going to see DPT on November 26th at the Academy. Travelling back from Manchester to see them. And hopefully in 2 weeks I'll be seeing Babyshambles... my mates have cancelled on me but I'm hoping some other mates will go instead. *Fingers crossed* |

Yeah I'm worried Pete will be in a clinic or something... I'm coming to prefer Babyshambles now, mainly cos they're a bit less 'recognisable' than DPT if you know what I mean.
They make a lot of different stuff, even though a lot of it is hit and miss. I bought the album while I was on holiday but have only really started getting into it. It's maybe a little too poetic for it's own good and sometimes Pete gets in way over his head, but it's still a nice alternative to Libertines. |

the picture attached is a photo taken of doherty last night when i saw babyshambles at the rhythm factory. People slate him for drug use, but the media is a very ugly industry that twists and sensationalizes. Stupid. mindless fools absorb it all. Last night he was very professional, very polite and generally very nice. And his presence and the charisma he radiates is pretty special. the band were immense btw.
I've always preferred doherty to barat. barat has always to me represented the safer, measured side of the libertines and thats not why i got into them at all. Doherty has alot more natural creativity whereas barat held it together with his focus. |
