Emo (or “Emo-core”)
There is a lot of musical diversity, ranging from soft guitar riffs to crashing riffs and whispering vocals to screaming. The lyrics can be thought of as a unique form of poetry and are often hard to decipher. They tend to be more personal, and sometimes they can be political in nature. The songwriting has been commonly and ignorantly mischaracterized as being solely depression and sometimes suicide oriented. Screamo Starting in the 1990s with an emo-core influence, screamo has faster harmonized guitar riffs, screaming vocals, and softer and more melodic breakdowns. Gravity Records was the prominent source for this style of music. Hardcore is punk influenced music that sometimes has a heavier sound and sometime's doesn't. It sometimes have breakdowns and some don't, this depends more on the age of the band. Some are straight edge, some aren't. But most have honest sincere lyrics about issues that they themselves face. I think that somes em up pal |

^Precisely
No its not, all the emo/hardcore regulars have worked hard to make that forum just emo/hardcore and in a couple of days you go in and ruin that by posting all these pop-rock and metalcore threads. I am moving them, they don't belong there. Deal |
