Yeah his voice pretty much makes the band soo great.....Reminds me of the lead dinger of Circa Survive.
|
He sounds nothing like Anthony Greene.

doesnt mean they sound good either...

I love Chiodos, at first I thought it was just another girly screamo band and hated the guy's voice but now they kick ass.
|
I actually LOVE Chiodos! I saw them at Taste of Chaos in february but liked them way before that.
|
I got their cd when it came out, but i'm a little sick of the whole Choidos/Blood Brothers/Fear Before the March of Flames style of music now.
|
I want to dislike them.... but I tend to find myself listening to them every now and then haha.
|
I saw them, and I liked them. But I started listening to them more after I saw them, and I got sick of them. They are all right, I guess. Not a favorite though.
|
ive only hear "lindsay quit lollygaggin" & i really like that one
might download the album |
i love them.
after probably a year and a half's hate. my best friend made me get into them this spring. and, they are wonderful. i have almost killed all's well that ends well from listening to it so much. but the bone palace ballet is wonderful. craig has a beautiful voice. i like the variety. |
I really have never been able to get into these guys, although Ive never given them a full albums listen..any suggestions on where to start?
|
well, everyone loves:
when the words "best friend" become redefined. my favorites: (all's well) baby, you wouldn't last a minute on the creek. no hardcore dancing in the living room. and all nereids beware. (bone palace) bulls make money, bears make money, pigs get slaughtered. the undertaker's thirst for revenge is unquenchable. i didn't say i was powerful, i said i was a wizard. and lexington |
They are one of the bands that I like but just don't listen to much. "There's No Penguin's In Alaska" is my favorite song.
|
We got their new album at our station this year, and it's fucking terrible.
|
alls well that ends well is good.
bone palace pretty much sucks good band though |
i used to joke around with my friends and call this band emo just cause it pisses them off... then the lead singer tried to kill himself, oh boy did i have a field day with that one
anyways the guy's voice doesn't really do it for me and they kinda just blend in with all the other "emo" bands imo, just nothing special for me |

Chiodos
I don't care what anyone says. Chiodos, with Craig Owens, is the best band in the world. I know he has a high pitched voice, but that's what made the band unique. He had the most amazing voice in the world. Chiodos is so different without him now. I see them having a great potential with that Brandon Bolmer guy, but it will be way different without Craig.
|
My problem isn't really with this band, it's with fans of this band. It's probably an isolated incident, but I've met two or three idiots who think this band is amazing and trash on hardcore and punk.
|
I'm not familiar with Chiodos's music, but I like Craig Owens in The Sound of Animals Fighting (even though his live vocals with them were terrible imo).
I'm guessing their sound is somewhere in the ballpark of Circa Survive? |
^Circa Survive with nauseating breakdowns and screams thrown in here and there. That being said, I enjoyed their debut album. Craig Owens had some really pretty vocals.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure there's already a thread on them. |
sick as hell song |
Yes, that it is.
|
pretty much the reason i got the album.
and i was glad i did. |
Chiodos will not be nearly as successful as they were with Craig Owens. Craig brought so much to the table in his performances, he pours his heart out on stage and I've seen Brandon Bolmer on stage and its just not the same. Craig made The Chiodos Bros. who they are today. Just my opinion.
