Woah, prog is doing really well! ^^ That's unexpected, what forum have I accidentally stepped into?

Anyway, I prefer prog because I think there's more interesting stuff going on, musical details and.. Well, they try some fresher things you know. ^^ Not always, but! I also enjoy the variation, odd time signatures and other progressions than "verse - chorus - verse - chorus".

I guess that grunge could fall under Alternative, but that's a big umbrella which includes things other than grunge. Out of the choices presented, I picked Heavy Metal, which is also a rather broad term. That gets many of my favorite bands, including (I suppose) grunge/metal bands, like Alice In Chains
