I could see you think Protest the hero is progressive. My favorite is classic, even though it's not a genre.

alternative because I like the different sounds that other bands don't have. like the use of synthesizers.

Huh? I didn't think the use of synths was particularly combined to this kind of music, although i am sure a good many acts that consider themselves "alternative" use synthesizers...

I like punk..out of all of those. But I also like Rapcore. Like KoRn and POD. But punk I have liked forever now. So thats what I voted for.

Progressive rock is easily my favorite, being one of my favorite bands is Rush! There is so much you can do with Progressive rock. It goes out of its boundaries and tries new things, kind of like Jazz.

Yeah, another good point. I just consider "classic rock" to be whatever the music is. For example, Rush is considered Classic Rock, even though it's Progressive rock.

I swear there's a guy with a record / CD collection and a Brother P - Touch label making machine, just sitting up there in the sky, putting little tags and labels on records and CDs with the genre tag / name on it, and he imposes his little categories on us foolish unsuspecting humans, just to piss people like me off, and to reward the pedantry of others...
