^What about prog-metal, the best of both worlds?

This is no surprise coming from me, but I like Prog Metal more than any other style of Metal... Except maybe Thrash.

That is actauly touch one for me I grew up with classic but I also love heavy Metal, Punk and Hair metal, too.

To be honest, it doesn't surprise me, but I wouldn't be surprised if prog wasn't your favourite form of metal.

I love metal, but prog metal often seems to abandon its roots too much in favour of technicality. When they get it right, it is awesome but it's horrible when they get it wrong.

And that is why I wouldn't be surprised. I thought you might see the bad form of prog metal as a bastardization of prog rock.

However, I am not surprised you like thrash after that - it does have links to punk.

It's one of my more recent likings, even though its' been several years now, but yes, here's one that likes punk.

Yea I mean it's not like the most accessible genre in the (western) world or anything.
