I think a majority of New Zealand music is half arsed. It was actually quite painful to listen to The Rock's "Kiwi Ton" last Wednesday.

It's painful listening to the Rock fullstop.

Yeah most of that was crap, I'm meaning the young up and coming bands. Recently at the UC they had the Battle of The Bands, really really awesome music.

Yeah. I moved from Australia to NZ when I was 13 (I'm now 18). And I'd kill to go back there and live. After going back there on holiday I feel pretty homesick.

Anyway, I normally listen to Radio Hauraki (classic rock) - I think it's only in Northland.

I was quite excited when The Rock came up here this year, but I'm a bit disappointed by it. In all fairness, I haven't listened to it for more than about 15 min at a time, but every time I turn it on, they seem to be playing some crappy Nickelback song which drives me up the wall.

We get Hauraki here in Christchurch, but no one I work with likes it.

They should actually call it "The Music Every Other Station Plays, But With The Occasional Rock Song Thrown In".

How is that new Ben Harper song rock?

I requested some Black Sabbath for workday requests once.

I'm mailny talking about the Flying Nun bands from the 80s and similar. Alot of those bands were actually quite popular in the US back in the day. You know, Tall Dwarfs, Ables Tasmans, 3D's, The Bats etc.

Yes, I'm pretty much the same as you. Most of my friends are into the usual rock shit that goes around like Pealr Jam, Nirvana, ACDC and that sort of stuff. It's not all bad, actually we're playing some Pink Floyd tomorrow whilst drinking alot of alchol.

And let me guess. Was it War Pigs or Paranoid?
Seriously, they've got to realise that Black Sabbath released more than two songs.

And the workday requests is the best part of the day.The rest is the same music played in a different order from the previous days.
No repeat workday my arse.

Yes, I requested Paranoid. Personally it's one of my favourite Sabbath songs even if it's one of the most popular.
