I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

I always think to myself, whats worse?.... Classic rock douchebags who think all good music ended in 1979, that all punk and alterative rock sucks and that REO Speedwagon are musical geniuse's OR elitist indie, Pitchfork clowns who try to listen to the dullest, most mind numbingly horrible, obnoxious, annoying and intentionally crappy music imaginable in order to maintain an artificial hipster image and cringe at the mere sight of any band that shows some signs of talent, while claiming to have very diverse taste in music... It's a tough call.

What best elements?
Anyway, i'm one of the biggest Zep fans here, i don't feel compelled to rub Led Zeppelin in everyone's faces... And of course most people here hate them anyway, not that i'm going to make a big thread complaining about it. But that being said, i will get compelled to get involved when someone gets too carried away with Zep bashing, especially when it's someone who praises bands that i for the most part despise. It's like when indie jerks bash BoC or any band whose first album predates 1981, i'll make a crack about the uber crappiness of Modest Mouse, it works every time since all indie fans like them and i will never ever understand why. |

Of course there was i time when i listened to nothing but nu metal and post grunge.... But we all started out with questionable musical tastes, it's a part of growing up. |

I have listened to lots of New Zealand indie today, afterall it's the best indie in the world. I also listened to some Radio Birdman and Electric Eels.
Their is no such thing as questionable music taste and once people understnad that the world will be a better place. |

Yeah man, NZ has some awesome indie, it's extremely diverse. And local shows have mammoth energy.
It's almost a sin to say I like NZ music around my friends though, they think that anything New Zealand is half-arsed, so they'll just crank up Pearl Jams latest efforts Losers. Hiu, do your friends have the same sort of variety in music as you, or are they like mine and have their ears nailed only to the radio.
