I only know a few songs apiece from Judas Priest albums and am not sure which album is my favorite. That said, I remember being impressed with Painkiller when it came out, despite not being a metal fan. It was unusual and ahead of its time, maybe being like proto-industrial metal. I'm pleasantly surprised so many other people rate it highly; it didn't have any big hits.

A bit closer to speed metal than thrash metal, but pretty much yeah. Although, as cool an album as it was (even if it hasn't aged all that well to me), I consider it less an homage than an outright sad attempt at staying relevant.

Looks like Painkiller is ruling the polls, I completely love that album. A Touch of Evil is a ripper of a track, in fact, I'm going to blast it through my headphones now!
