Damnocracy
VH1 has put together a new reality series called Supergroup. The premise of the show is to lock several musicians in a house for 10 days and get them to write and record some new original music. The line-up for the band Damnocracy is: Scott Ian (Anthrax) - Guitar; Ted Nugent - Guitar; Evan Seinfeld (Biohazard) - Bass; Sebastian Bach (ex-Skid Row) - Vocals and Jason Bonham (Bonham, UFO, Foreigner) - Drums. Do you think anything good will come out of it?

Egos will implode the group before it even gets off the ground. Wasn't Tommy Lee supposed to be the drummer?
|
I doubt anything good will come of it. In order for these musicians to reach their fullest creative potentialities, they will have to want to write music. Locking them in a house together and forcing them to write music is most likely not going to go over very well. Also, putting a time limit on it is a bad idea. It's much more difficult to permeate that creative 'zone' whilst under any sort of pressure. All of the boundary lines must be rubbed out.

I can't even look at Evan Seinfeld anymore since I rented a Tera Patrick porno and she was f*cking him. I couldn't even masterbate to it, and Tera is my favorite!!!
He ruled on OZ though |
Ted Nugent is a fucking great guitarist. Unfortunately, his ego might get in the way of things.

$20 says people forget about the band before the show is even over. |

Yeah, reality TV is everywhere now. The one with Tommy Lee as a drummer is the new Rock Star show (they did the INXS one last summer). This new one, the band name is Supernova, and it has Tommy Lee, Jason Newstead, and Gilby Clark. |
Supergroups never equal the sum of their parts.

But some of us dreamers will always hope that something awesome will come out of these bands. We know that these members (or most of them) have the talent, so that keeps us dreaming.
