I heard a world exclusive of a new track on the Radio1 rock show last night and they've gone in a real heavier direction.I was surprised and impressed!!Looks like they've learnt the lessons of Metallica and KoRn and took the direction of Machine Head and Fear Factory and gone heavier. We'll have to see

I'm not a fan of digging up old threads, but it seems to be the way around here. Rather that starting a new thread about a band, just look for the old one and breath new life into it.
Ok here is my feelings toward Kittie, who else agrees. I hear something from them once, and it seems almost good, then I hear it again and think its crap, then I might like it again. I can't seem to form a solid opinion about Kittie. The singers voice just doesn't seem to belong in metal, yet it somehow does. I know a few people that really like them and for the most part share my taste in music, but I don't get it. As far as female fronts with "harsh" lyrics go, I can dig Arch Enemy, but most others don't seem to cut the mustard. Arch Enemy is consistant and I have yet to hear something I don't like by them. I also lean toward music with the same general feel. I know that Arch Enemy and Kittie do not fit into the same genre, but to me they seem to have a similar feel, yet I can't really get into Kittie. On a similar note, are there any other female fronted death bands that I just am not finding? Matt |
