Well he was the drummer for Nirvana and the front man for the Foo two of the top 10 most popular rock acts of the past 15 years, also he's very humble.

Plus, he did that whole Probot album a couple years ago. That alone is enough to make me like him. That album was fantastic and he played almost every instrument on it. The man is definitely talented.

Foo Fighters have a couple good songs but I agree overall they're kind of average. Probot, on the other hand, is amazing and that's even more of a solo Dave Grohl project than Foo Fighters. Also, his drum work on Queens of the Stone Age's Songs for the Deaf, Killing Joke's 2003 self-titled album, and Nine Inch Nails With Teeth was all pretty impressive.

Neil Diamond. Not underestimating his contribution to music, I just cannot stand the man's voice. And I swear he has recorded over 45 Christmas songs that each get played about fifteen times a day where I work.
And I can't go to a used record store to browse without seeing his face every few album covers. Bloody annoying. |

Oh man you of all people would love it. I'm not sure if you know the concept behind it or not but basically Dave Grohl wrote a bunch of metal and hardcore songs each sort of in the style of different bands that he's a fan of and then got the singer from each band to sing on their song. Grohl plays all the instruments on the album with a couple notable exceptions like Lemmy playing bass on the song he sings on. It's a great album and a real treat for people who are pretty familiar with 80s metal and hardcore. And the album cover was even designed by the guy from Voivod who did all their album covers.
Here's the list of who's on it: Quote:
