Alice in Chains...
I love this grunge band. I got into them quite recently when I bought Facelift and I have some of their other songs on my PC, 'Down in a Hole', 'Grind' and 'Don't Follow'.
'Man in the Box' and 'Down in a Hole' are my favourite songs by them. 'Angry Chair' is pretty good as well. Who else likes them?

And then they went, at nine o' clock, 'Shh!' and turned the telly on! It was, like, people asleep in bed. To me, I can't understand that. The encouraging thing is, 'You were right all along, Smith: people are stupid." - Mark E Smith |

I bought their box set. Its not bad. I never realized how similar alot of it was, but the hits seem to have a soul of their own. Man in the Box, is diffrent from Would?, which is diffrent from down in a hole, which is diffrent from No Excuses.
The songs that weren't hits...well there we see the templete for staind.

'Down in a Hole' is a real classic.
Alice in Chains deserve more credit for what they did. Nirvana just lapped it all up.

One band i`ve never really understood the appeal of.
I`ve never really understood why they`re a grunge band either , they just sounded like your average metal band to me at the time.
