"Sludge Factory" from the Unplugged performance is my favorite. Dude's completely strung out and can still deliver like that.

Chains fans may know the live version of "Man In The Box," seen here, but here's a few more of my favorite live ones:
Spoiler for Live performances, Alice In Chains videos.:

"Man in the Box" (live Miami Arena, Miami, FL 7-14-91)

^^ Guys in cardboard boxes get on stage with them.

"A Little Bitter" (live in Kansas City, 1996)

"Rain When I Die" (Live in Frankfurt Germany 2.2.93)

Staley's death went largely unnoticed, IMO. A powerful and unique voice gone too soon.

I agree, AIC will never be the same without Lane - They still produced two good albums, Black Gives Way To Blues in particular is pretty good.

I am still undecided whether I prefer Facelift or Dirt as the best album

The first is overall better to listen in a row, but the second contains some of the most iconic songs from AIC, like "Would?" and "Them Bones".
