Primus are great. I have Frizzle Fry and Tales From the Punch Bowl, both of which I think are great. Les' other stuff is also great

got all their CDs, got 2 DVDs, les claypool is the reason i became a bassist when i was 15/16 (as well as a mate who needed a bassist, so i decided to learn), (i'm 30 now)..
i don't listen to primus that much these days, but i still love them to bits.. sailing the seas of cheese is the one. it's one of those albums that i've listened to probably a thousand times at least, and still hear new little things in there every time.. absolutely one of the most in depth and clever albums of any style, really funky and catchy, but totally dark and sinister at the same time, 'sgt.baker' and 'fish on' are WELL evil! the mid break in 'fish on' is just pure genius. the whole album is perfect all the way through. bunch of lunatics! |
