It's because these artists are some of the best bass players out there as well as great songwriters!!! The simple fact is that Flea's not trying to complicate songs so he could be in the front of the band!!!He knows his part and does it very well in an original, amazing way!!!The REALLY highly experienced bass players that Flea and even Les Claypool are may look like they're truly showing off, but, honestly they're just doing a great job playing a funky bassline or the pure funk in general, see? Funk is what made these bands different from the many other rock/hard-rock/metal artists of their time!!! And nowadays...well...I just don't see any1 that has a chance trying to compare to these bassists, period!!! |

He serves his role nearly as good now as he did back then, fella..........................the only difference is that many of the songs have changed...duh!!! Ya know it's always funny, yet suspicious when people degrade a great bands new music after they've been around for over 10 years...if anybody's a "sellout", I'd have to say it's an ignorant fan of a band that they only expected to be good and/or last for 2 albums!!!Gimme a break!!! |

I already said that because you only care about the other/older stuff, you obviously now think/believe that (ANY OF) the new music is never gonna be quite as good from now on!!! Usually people talk about "change" as a band "selling out", so I'm befuddled as to why you immediately think of the band in that ignorant way... ...I obviously didn't state that YOU thought that they sold out, I just said you were (and still are) being an ignorant fool towards the latest part of the bands career!!! Hell, I doubt you even have "The Uplift Mofo Party Plan" or "Freakey Styley", which I actually do!!!You probally think (and pride yourself on believing) that "Mother's Milk" was their first album, right? ...And that is enough comedy to cover a whole month for me, ya ("newer" R.H.C.P.) sellout!!! By the way, do you even have any R.H.C.P. albums or do you just listen to their "ringtones" on your mother's vibrating phone? |
