He did fairly well on The Glorious Burden. I thought that his vocals clashed a lot though. Hopefully their next album will be better suited for his voice.

As far as Ripper and Priest, I thought he did a good job, and apparently I'm the only person that thought Demolition was pretty good.

The vocals clashed mainly because the album was written for Barlow, who has a different voice than the Ripper, but I can't see Matt doing a better job on the Gettysburg trilogy than Tim did, I can't wait for the Something Wicked concept album, they will finally be using him to his full potential.

Beyond Fear came out today, its a pretty good album.
I think Glorious Burden is far better though.

I've never actually heard any of Halford's solo stuff, but I agree that Priest are more hard rock than metal. I would class painkiller as a metal album though.

Yes, painkiller has a little bit more of a metal flavor to it than some of the others.I love painkiller, but I'm also really into many of priests other songs including "hot rockin'" and "on the run."Even the song "metal gods" is hard-rock though, not metal, ya hear? In closing, get both of Halford's (the band) albums!!!They are way more better than just some artists cool side project, cheers!!!

cool, I'll look out for them. Are there only two? One of them is called the Crucible isn't it? Painkiller is my favourite album and yeah, ironically, the song Metal Gods isn't very metal. Still, I suppose at that time it would have been .

Yes, just 2, but there is also a live album that they did.I think it's called Live : Insurrection or something like that.Anyways, their 2 studio albums (Resurrection and Crucible) are fu(kin' amazing!!!To put it in other words, as hard as it may seem to say/believe, I'd rather have Halford's 2 solo albums if I had the choice between them and the new album/painkiller combo!!!Good thing I have them all though, so...............

cool. I'll have to look out for them then. I always thought that priest would be much much better so I never really bothered with halford's solo stuff.

I would class them as metal but, compared with metal now, they aren't very heavy that's all.
