Default The Official Blur thread

This goes under rock because that's what it says Blur are in WMP. Anyway, what are your thoughts on Blur and Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon's respectable solo projects? I think Blur are a magnificent band. They have that get up and dance attitude, and are perfecr Summer Fodder. Windows down, Parklife in the CD player, driving through Yardley. Perfect

Haven't heard no albums post-greatest hits. Parklife doesn't do it that much for me either, but it is a very summery song. Like I said, windows down driving and all that shiznit. A personal favourite of mine is Beetlebum and 20th Century is also a classic.

i think with blur you only need modern life is rubbish and the greatest hits. parkilfe the album is inconsistant. and ive always preferred coxon to albarn, his style of music appeals to me more. blur were probably my favourite band that emerged from the brit-pop era, they generally had more to them than their peers. and this whole blur or oasis thing is a joke. blur by a country mile.

I bought Think Tank, complete waste of time. 'Modern Life Is Rubbish' is alright, no idea why people say its a classic though, i find it pretty hard to listen through it the whole way through. Some of their singles are good, some are just novelty...
