My local radio station is **** so I wouldn't really know. It doesn't play heavy metal or hard rock of any sort. It only plays really crap pop music

I hear some metal, i just listen to classic rock stations, even though it's never nothing i havent heard before, it at least plays something i know i'll like.

What erks me is that they never play prog on the radio save Pink Floyd, Rush and the occasional Yes, Focus and Jethro Tull tunes.

They play Genesis and Queen too but only their non prog stuff.
