LOL. Well they may be called Eagles of Death Metal but it's just a play on words.

They came up with the name when they were making fun of themselves and called themselves the Eagles (as in Don Henley, Eagles) of Death Metal.

I like EODM but want to shoot myself if I listen to actual death metal.

Don't be a twat and post uninformed rubbish like that - you're missing the entire idea behind their name. And half of those aren't death metal either.

Default Eagles of Death Metal

I saw these guys last night in concert and they were amazing. I am starting to enjoy this latest resurgence of artists who incorporate a lot of blues sound into their music.

As hard as it may be to believe, they're not obscure at all, and yes, we've heard of them before.

who said they were obscure? oh I forget that with indies, it's all a competition.

I didn't see a thread and wasn't going to search. glad you were on top of it though. don't know what we would all do without people with no lives.

It's humorous that you try to put down a type of music by saying that its not heavy enough or brutal enough or some of that bull****. You're the problem with metalheads these days. Every type of music has to be compared to metal no matter what genre it is, and if its not brutal its not good enough. I'm one of the biggest metalheads you'll ever meet and I have no idea who the Eagles of Death Metal are, but they sure as **** aren't death metal, therefore you don't need to list those bands. Btw, not one of those bands are death metal. And Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, and COB all suck.
