yes, the only KISS worth bothering with is from 1974-1978. The rest is hit or miss.

But they revolutionized the rock concert experience. Just look at the history books and count the number of things KISS did - including the first band to break attendance records held by The Beatles at Budkoan.

But The Beatles were actually able to set that record based on musical talent.
KISS had to rely on theatrics.

Oh let me guess 'in your opinion'

No, the point is, Kurt's ripped jeans and flannel shirt was every bit the costume as anything KISS wore.

Not really. Kurt wore these things as everyday casual clothing, there is nothing more to it.

wrong. it became his image, which became the same kind of costume KISS wore. Kurt's grunge look was every bit the costume KISS was.

Yes, you have a point. Wear a hat, no one will see it.

I don't think he really has a point there, what Kiss wore was intended I really doubt Kurt Cobain put his clothes on hoping to be rememered for his look. The difference in what Kurt wore, was he wasn't doing it to be flashy and creative and everything. Kiss was, Kiss probaly spent a good deal of time getting ready for a show and coming up with that look, Kurt probaly didn't. I mean yeah, it was Kurts "look" and kiss had a "look" everyone has a "look". Its also very possible Kurt dressed the way he did throughout high school, I really doubt he just out of nowhere changed his fashion once smells like teen spirit got big.
