in metal i'd have to say murder dolls, not only a good band, but an excellent live show of they ever go over there.
in screamo/metal i'd have to say atyreu is great, underoath, older stuff, which is harder, but their new cd is fantastic. thats great you're a cradle fan, i hated them, but grew to love them. and yeah. as i lay dying is also pretty good. and rob zombie isn't that great, but his white zombie days were pretty sweet.

The Abscence The Black Dahlia Murder Dead To Fall Nehemiah ^ good melodic-death metal. Borknagar Bal-Sagot Emperor Immortal ^ good black metal if you want any of the said bands let me know. I can also recommend many other styles of music, but you did say metal... |

Murder Dolls are wannabe goth rock. Absolutley horrid. And the spin off band Wednesday 13 is even worse. Atreyu are not screamo, they're a poor excuse for "metalcore". Old Underoath is pretty heavy though, I'll give you that. and As I Lay Dying good? HAHAHAHA!!! They've been writing the same mediocre song for 6+ years. Terrible, terrible band. |

and on their next album, their gonna be post-screamcore. god i hate genre bitching. as for good heavy bands, im digging fear before the march of flames, ion dissonance, converge and ed gein right now. not really like APC or anything, but crazy good.

We went back there and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember... I... I... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |
