Hey this thread should be moved. Nobody is talking about Jazz at all !! put it back in rock where it belongs.

And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.

"True" jazz fans stiffle intelligent conversation, forget about them. I think this topic at the very least sparks intresting conversation.

To those of you who felt the need to open-mindedly say "their not jazz", maybe next time try to make an argument a little better since its a little easier to side with "no".

Many bands incorperate Jazz elements but are not Jazz, and I still vaguely recall that STP are not one of them, but I could be wrong, maybe they did a fusion album no one knows about, lol.

Core is a staple in early 90's rock..I think it should be in everyone's collection..it simply rocks. Seeing Velvet Revolver live..made me a believer..Scott is just an amazing voice..

STP's Core and Purple are amazing! (That secret song gets a little old though)
Can't say I thought much of the rest of their albums (apart from a few songs)
and Velvet Revolver, well I just don't like 'em.

As much as I love the Grunge era I could never get into STP. None of their songs were awsome, I have their Core album but none of the songs were great to me. I've tried listening to their Tiny Music........Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop album and still couldn't get into their music. Any requests to try to help see what has been missed.
