[QUOTE=moley]iron maiden - heavy metal gods, countless albums filled with sheer orgasmic songs, the awsomeness that is eddie, the best live band i've ever seen, my first and only favourite band ever since i was a wee little metaller still ****ting myself and crawling round the living room in one of my dads heavy metal shirts, some of the leaders of the brittish wave of heavy metal, and pure brilliance in a nut shell, favourite album would probably be killers because it contains most of my favourite songs such as murder in the rue morgue and wrathchild and i much prefer aul d'iannos vocals and clive burrs drumming.

metallica - i saw them live and what can i say...genious

QUOTE]
Agreed. Maiden own. I actually prefer Di'anno's vocals too.
Metallica are also amazing.

I have to add

Megadeth- Amazing guitar work, original songs, and Dave Mustaine.

Dream Theater- My favourite progressive band. Every member is extremely talented.

Rush, Priest, and loads more I can't be bothered typing right now.

And my favourite bands right now are

The Mars Volta - Both Omar and cedric are genious and i love the originality

Symphony X - Michael romeo is one of the most talented people in music right now IMO and everyone in te band has such technical skills...Russel Allan has amazing vocals and all around the compose sooo well..

Coheed and Cambria - I have just lately gotten into them and just love the...Claudio writes the coolest riffs and i love his vocals

King Crimson - One of the best prog bands of all time..All that needs to be said

Rocky Votolato - I love his voice and his lyrics are great...he is a very talented indavidual

There are many more ...ill add them another time

Symphony X IS amazing. But I just couldnt get too into them while listening to Blind Guardian and Sonata Arctica at the same time. I dont think I could handle three bands that sound the same.

Are you joking....Symphony X and Blind Guardian sound nothing alike....i am huge into both of those bands and my god they're quite different....BG being Epic/melodic metal and symphony X being just progressive metal....it must have just slipped your mind

I've got about 9 of their songs and they're really good, but not as good as DT.
