Yeah. I don't mind some melodic death metal, but all the death metal with Cookie Monster vocals isn't for me. Black Metal isn't even good instrumentally.

I love black metal in its more melodic/epic forms...bands like Emperor, Windir, Enslaved, Borknagar...

Am I the only one who thinks that Mayhem is ridiculously overrated? In my honest opinion they got by on their reputation morre than the music.
