I should have done this. I'll start doing stuff like this.
This album is seriously one of the best ever. Buy it.

when i first heard coheed i hated them, but i have to say after i gave the album a listen it is awesome, my fav song would probably be Apollo I : The Writing Writer, i also love the artwork, and if you have any of their albums you know what i mean, their other albums are also really good although i agree burning star IV is their best their others are worth getting. their graphic novels that go with all their songs and other work are also really good and i think its clever how they make it all work and come together and incorporate it into all of their work.

I bought this on a whim after hearing the wonderfull twin-guitar work on "Ten Speed (Of God's Blood & Burial)" and immediately found that it fell into the delightfully pretentious camp (much like Rush who they happen to imitate). I just let myself go and bang my head a bit. I just wish they didn't try to make concept albums, because their lyrics are juvenile and only comprehensible if you've read what I'm sure must be a lame graphic novel. Pretension doesn't work as well in other mediums as it does in music.

Not everybodies band.
But I'm amused that everyone that does hate C&C always has Modest Mouse in their top 5, so I make it my goal to piss them off as much as humanly possible. |
