Windir
Opeth Iron Maiden Isis Ensiferum Pelican Death Ulver Agalloch Drudkh Top 10 lists do annoy me at times - they're just not very representative... I listen to a lot of thrash as well.

I love all sorts of metal, but no wonder it's so maligned by critics and non fans alike-grow up and just listen to what u like. Not what is true or not-this attitude is no different to a hip hop fan debating the merits of B.I.G or Tupac-if u like it listen to it ffs. Stop pigeon holeing music.

Plus; just because it's false metal doesn't mean it's false music. I just call it false metal because it doesn't fit my own criterion for true metal. I consider the two groups to be completely different, aside from the fact that they have distorted guitars. To me, to say your top ten bands or whatever and have a mix of metalcore and nu-metal with death and black metal, it'd be like mixing in jazz bands or hip hop groups. I dunno, I'm nutty that way. I like both true and fake metal. Never said I didn't.
