"We'll bring this to the grave!"
they remind me of Architect and The Abominable Iron Sloth. I like it. "Man the life boats!" |

[QUOTE=The Dave;407935]Good metalcore.... QUOTE]
Oxymoron Alert. Bands that try to get past mediorcity by using basic music dynamics of speeding up and slowing down. It's so moden that Hildegarn of some nunnery in 1100 A.D. did it with a Gegorian Chant. I can get past the screaming as it is nothing compared to industrial, but the lack of musicality kills these bands. |

^So their music sucks because they change tempos throughout a song? There is some good metalcore, just like there is some good pop and there is some good country.
But yeah, you apparently listen to Industrial, which is code for ***. |

No i don't listen to industrial. I'm saying industrial has more screaming. No I'm saying they suck because there's very little to no musicality. Same with pop and country. I didn't say they sucked because they change tempo, but I'm saying it's the major reason people like bands like that and it's so archaic that it's stupid. Using the same chord progressions over and over with a slightly changing tempo is no different from many other kinds of music except for the fact that they are louder.

And what the do is called a hook, almost every single band uses them, and while they might not be as noticeable in the pretentious crap you listen to, they still use them. |

1. First you say industrial has more screaming. Ok...sure. As compared to what? This one ****ty metalcore band? There are plenty of industrial groups with harsh and soft vocals. So your point didn't make sense. 2. Musicality? What specifically? 3. Converge is metalcore. As is Botch, Coalesce, The Red Death, Buried Inside, Johnny Truant, and a hundred other bands that have a great deal of creativity and "musicality". Don't be a jackass. Jackass.
