There isn't some crusade against metalcore like you make it out to be. As I said before, you were the one that asked the original question. When metalcore gets brought up in certain circles, it is going to be ridiculed. I'm not going to talk about how good the Colts are in front of a bunch of Patriots fans.
It's annoying to hear anybody talk how hard they are just because they listen to a certain type of music.

It doesn't feel right to pick on you for liking metalcore, when you are able to criticize it yourself.
I'd go into full defense mode if someone picked on my favourite bands.

Im just willing to admit the music I like has flaws, no bands perfect.
I used to be the kind of guy with my head up my ass, always defending my music whenever someone hated on it, especally when they compared to to nicki minaj or justin bieber. I still rage a little inside when people insult my music, but I try to keep it to myself and respect their opinions and just ask them to do the same so me.
This all being said, there are metalcore bands who are legitamately talented and its only fair we talk about those to

I could care less these days, but if anything does piss me off it's the dull, ear gauge wearing, tattoo sporting, pierced up douchebags who I see walking the streets. If you wanna be different then that's great, but all I can do is laugh in my head when I imagine you trying to get any kind of non-burger flipping job with giant, dangling holes in your ears.

I have legitmaley considered getting my ears gauged, however I do admit some people take it to the extreme. I would maybe take it to half- 3 quaters of an inch and stop. Anything else is too big
As for tattoos, I wanna get the rise against fist on my one arm and the dream theater logo on the other and maybe something on my chest, but thats it I dont really wanna overdo it.

Dude, you can't hide ear gauge holes. I imagine you can pretty much expect to live your life in the lower classes for the rest of your life if you get those. I highly doubt that you're gonna want to wear those when you're forty anyway, so you'd be doing your future self a favor if you didn't do that. At least you can cover a tattoo up with a shirt.

I'd never get a tattoo (I'm too young anyway), the probability of cancer is scary.

I'm not saying this to be a dick, and I'm sure you could prove me wrong, but I've never met a successful person that had gauges.
