I understand why some metalcore, like BMTH and Attack Attack are hated but then again there is heavy metal like this

Ok, it's not as bad as Attack Attack but isn't that far away either. They just look, sound and move ridiculous. And that's actually "respected" "heavy" metal. There is Nu Metal heavier than that and I(and most people for that matter) wouldn't even classify Nu Metal as metal.
Heaviness isn't the issue. Much of melodic metalcore is just dull, not out of a lack of heaviness but because it's a pale imitation of thrash/melodic metal/hardcore/etc. I used to like Trivium, but now I could care less. The guitar wants to be aggressive, but it's really just stale. The vocals wish they had any kind of emotion, but Heafy's screaming is just kind of there because that's what you do when you play metalcore.

I just like metalcore because I like the way it sounds. i enjoy a good berakdown. I like the clean vocals. I LOVE the double bass pedal action. I just like close to everything about it.

There's nothing wrong with breakdowns...

0:33

1:16

And clean vocals mixed with some screaming can make a very good song...

Chorus at 0:44 (wow, only one band?).

A well placed breakdown can be really cool. Unfortunately metalcore bands typically overuse them (this goes for deathcore as well).

Honestly it took me until very recently tto realize how common place breakdowns were. I never played an instrument or was in a band so I always kind of confused some of the drumming for guitar playing or vice versa, thinking they were more talented than they really were.
Ive said this before, but I don't base my fondness for a band solely based on how much talent they have, if I did I wouldn't like A Day To Remember as much as I do. I lot of post/metalcore bands can right some really catching songs when they put their minds to it (ADTR comes to mind again, they may not be the most talented band ever, but they just know how to... errr... improvise I guess you could say. They just know how to use what they can to make a good song)

A band can be talented without being super technical. Your right, it does take some talent to make catchy songs. Talent can be measured by a number of factors, catchiness included. However, IMO, serious talent comes through when a band is able to make challenging, unique music that still engages the listener. These attributes are rarely present in metalcore.

meh it engages me. I will admit it a lot of the metalcore sounds the same, it isn't necessarily a bad thing. It just means a lot of bans have the same goal with their music. I honestly find that a lot of power metal sounds the same, and a lot of power metal songs follow the same formula.
But the thing that bugs me is, why do people who aren't metalcore fans care that bands like Attack Attack and Asking Alexandria exist. It doesn't effect them. There's always gunna be new trash and power metal bands on the scene, and there's always gunna be a market for Iron Maiden to make a new album, so why does it matter?

They care because something they are deeply passionate about is being tarnished by what they perceive to be terrible bands. In a way, they see it as a threat to metal. Admittedly, this is a pretty empty hatred. The popularity of metalcore isn't really a threat to the other subgenres, but it is annoying to hear scene kids talk about how "hard" they are.

There isn't some crusade against metalcore like you make it out to be. As I said before, you were the one that asked the original question. When metalcore gets brought up in certain circles, it is going to be ridiculed. I'm not going to talk about how good the Colts are in front of a bunch of Patriots fans.
