There are no genuine emotions put into the music, and it just comes across as cheap and gimmicky, but the young people they target are overwhelmed by the idea that bands such as Asking Alexandria understand them, and are suckered into listening to their music.
Understandable, like I said I'm not gunna call you out for not liking those bands or whatnot. However I do and so do many others, and the fans of those genres shouldn't feel "wrong" for liking these bands. As many "metal elitests" tend to do.

You know what? I hate that people don't understand how amazing metalcore is. I hate that you would assume I don't like metalcore. I hate that people don't get to know me well enough to find out that I have an Underoath tattoo. Metalcore is the lifeblood of music; past, present, and future. It's the foundation for so many of my favorite genres; hip hop, jazz, blues, reggae, reggaeton, rockabilly, and of course old Irish sea chanties. Metalcore will never die.

The simple fact is that if you like the music you listen to and believe in it then who gives two ****s what anyone else thinks.

The fact that you make a thread bemoaning the fact that others don't like the music you listen to is a disservice to yourself. Lighten up and enjoy and what you listen to is yours and your's alone. Many members on here listen to music that isn't fashionable or liked but you just have to accept that.

I don't hate metalcore as a genre, but Asking Alexandria and A Day to Remember are unlistenable to me. It's just too loud and noisy. If they added some complexity and used a better songwriting structure, I might have liked it.

Who the hell are these bands? I've seen them mentioned a few times and I've never heard of them. I thought metalcore was dying. Are people still caring about new ones? Next you'll tell me that Limp Bizkit have reformed.

Um, considering jazz, blues and reggae have been around a LOT longer than metalcore and also considering if there are any "old Irish sea chanties" they would be from the days of sailing ships, and that he's saying metalcore (a new genre, relative to the above) influenced all those, I think you can say with reasonable certainty he was being sarcastic!

A Day to Remember has been around for about ten years, but Asking Alexandria was formed in 2008. Doesn't mean anyone cares about them except for this guy. By the way, Limp Bizkit reunited in 2009 and is currently working on their new album. Its first single features Lil Wayne. I think you knew it already, though. You can't have asked coincidentally.
