metalcore is a pointless mix of hardcore and metal. metalcore sounds nothing metal, so i dont see why they would add the word metal in it.

maybe cause the world is realizing that the metal of the 80's isn't really metal now. Metalcore is the future of metal. bring on the brutality

Default Good metalcore....

Riseagainstrocks might know more of what I'm looking, but I'll give it a shot. I want stuff that is like metalcore, but not the boring kind like Haste The Day and It Dies Today would fall under, stuff more like Between The Buried and Me and Protest The Hero. Just heavier stuff like this, but nothing too sludgy.

So yeah, lists of such bands would be really cool, ups would be better but don't worry about that part if you don't have the time.

I'd like to second that. My radio show on Tuesdays is looking for some good metalcore, which is tough to find but any kind of help will be doubly loved.

Though this isn't what you're looking for I recommend Threadbare, Undertow, Groundwork, Struggle, Indecision, Strife and Integrity

^I've seen that band's name around before, bu assumed they were trash, but I'm now very mistaken, that track is great.

acratertocoffin, Swim's list is good, only album I could find was from Integrity though.
