My two personal favorites are...

David Gilmour
Brian Carroll

Brian is probably better than David, but David has been a long time favorite. I have several of Brians albums (aka Buckethead) and I really like what this guy can do.

I know they may not be at the top of the list... but they are still my 2 fav's.

I know Hendrix is considered best guitarist of all time by most, and i only dissagree to say Frusciante because hes closer to me. I was not alive in the Hendrix error so i personally feel connected more to Frusciante even if he wasnt as inventive. I still say tho he plays with more emotion than Hendrix and def Zeplin. I like guitarists that keep it simple so people can still connect to it. (btw check out the Easily solo, one of his best with 5 guitar parts)
Right thar.

My favorite's currently are:

Paul Gilbert - Crazy fast, in my opinion one of the best shredders.

Eric Johnson - possibly the most technically sound guitar player in the world.

Andy Timmons - slick. nuff said.

Joe Satriani - Not necessarily for his technicality, but I like the funky style.

Dino Cazares (sp?) - Divine Heresy is pretty sweet. His riffs are like a machine gun. Very solid player.

Adam Dutkiewicz - Just a solid playing style.

Michael Romeo - I've never seen sausages move so fast.

Yngwie Malmsteen - nuff said.

He doesn't really say or even imply that Hendrix had a complicated style anywhere in that paragraph. Definitely not enough to warrant you making a huge deal out of it.

Yes it is. but hopefully it's not a forum for the same argument again and again and again and again and again. Especially with a pointless topic like this.

I'm not even a prog fan anymore. It's not my fault you can't come up with a valid arguement yet keep on arguing.
