I'll go with Jack Bruce of Cream, or Jaco Pastorius. Always my top two favorites.

I just got turned on to Jaco Pastorius by the band I interviewed last week. He is awesome, not really my style of music but there is no denying the man was brilliant.
I am of course a huge Rush fan, so Geddy Lee is still the best in my book.

^ Yeah I second that.
Rush are amazing and Geddy is really talented. Playing the bass, keyboard and singing at the same time is so cool. Also, Steve Harris- I'm a huge Maiden fan Lemmy from motorhead and Cliff Burton was really talented too. |

Other Favourites: Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Stu Hamm, James Jamerson So overall, my fav bassist ever would have to be Flea.
