Listen to Book of Shadows and Pride and Glory. He's not a "one trick pony"

I have all the respect in the world for Dime but Zakk did it all first and that is simple fact so bitch and moan all you want but in the end the world of guitar owes a hell of a lot to Mr. Zakk Wylde.
Agreed.

I'd agree with this, except I'd replace "LOVE" with "like". He's a pretty decent guitarist, but yes vocals aren't my thing.

I like Zakk and BLS. His vocals to me are pretty good, i like the haunting sound he has. But yeah, he does overdo things. Like he shows off too much. Like just hold a note, he doesn't need to fly up and down the neck every chance he gets.

Default Black Label Society - Shot To Hell

Blessed Hellride has three or four songs on the album I listen to, but Shot To Hell is the best album by Wylde, reminds me of the Stone Temple Pilots in style.
Blood Is Thicker Than Water, a single from the (Shot To Hell) album, nice bass guitar.

I owned one of their albums a couple years back, listened to it a few times but nothing really stood out to me. Wylde doesn't have the ability to carry a band, he's better in a supporting role.

I thinks Zaks Wylde failure as a band leader is his inability to get players of equal ability in his band. Wylde's a fabulous guitar player, even though he does rely on the pinch-harmonic too heavily, but he's never gotten band member that could push him the way Mustaine did w/Megadeth. My favorite BLS is "Stronger Than Death" which is full of his phat riffs, shredding solos and odd harmonics.

Im not sure how you think he relies on pinch harmonics to much... Its a style of playing and he has some of the best chops I have ever seen. I just saw him a few weeks ago and his performance was incredible.

He has been doing so well actually he is starting his own festival in the vein of Ozzfest. Berserker fest I believe it will be called.

I don't think the fact that he is having his own festival has anything to do with how good he is. Ozzfest is over and the world is in dire need of another white-trash metal festival, just good timing if anything.

How can you say Zakk Wylde doesn't rely on the pick-squeel too much? it's all the guy ****ing does. He tries to use it to cover up his clear lack of dynamics during portions of the song where he's not shredding, but it's obvious. I'm ok with him as a guitar player, but I refute claims that he's a "guitar god' or even a frontman for that matter.
