Andrew WK?
Oh mein godt. I don't know what his technical genre is - I've heard him described as Party Metal and Old School Punk. Party Metal lends itself to me more ...
I'd love to listen to this guys music, full pelt, when I'm drunk or stoned or something intoxicated. Has anyone been his site? There's a trailer to his DVD (if you can be bothered to get passed all his pictures) where he's going on about how he makes the music and he describes it ... I duno, pretty well how I hear it. He takes every good sound there is going, gives it a heartbeat shoves it all into a musically tight as hell package (the beat and rhythm is so crisp throughout the song). His shouty, almost semi-death, voice to me enhances the "pumping it out hard" party effect. As far as I know this guy has two albums, I'd seriously recommend getting the first one, I Get Wet. Not a bad song on it, in my opinion. "I Love New York City", "Party Hard" and "She Is Beautiful" (perhaps better known because of the Bodom cover of it) - all excellent rhythmic songs. If you've NOT heard his stuff, you're missing out. Pump up the music, pass me the joint. Lets dance.

Hah. Andrew WK is entertaining as hell. I saw him a couple years ago at the 9:30 club in DC, with the Used opening for him, which in retrospect is kind of ironic. But, he put on one hell of a show and got a bunch of people up on stage and jumped around like a madman for probably two hours. All in all, pretty entertaining. His music, on the other hand, isn't really anything special, it's kind of catchy, but gets boring after a little while.
Personally, I'd much rather listen to some slow, sludgy metal when I'm stoned than some dude yelling at me to dance around like an insane maniac. |

Marginally stoned, at the giggly stage, and you're sorted. Of course if you take on more you start going to sleep or getting the munchies, when his music ain't so great. Stick to the Es and boozes?

Haha, moron? Probably. It wouldn't amaze me if he's ****ed himself up on something.
I dunno, I guess most of his songs are very samey and repetitive, but some of them aren't - She is Beautiful, I Love New York City and a couple of others. Not for hardcore metalheads, but if you're just partying it's cool music. Plus, I gather he's awesome in concert.
