They'll almost always be that one song or that one person or that one whatever that proves a generlized statement wrong.

I am aware that not ALL of Nirvana's songs sound the same.
But.....many do. You can not honestly say that Nirvana isn't repetative

They are. But it's not the same song. Nirvana had a signature sound. A no frills bluesy rock sound. The media called it grunge. Nirvana was based around words, not music.

They are repetitive but each song shows a completely different side of the band. Overrated? yes. Completely changed rock music? Probably.

therefore Nirvana > Nickelback in all aspects

I will also say that they did have a huge impact on rock music

You're right, they do sound the same, but if thats how broad you're making this then every band sounds the same. Pink Floyd, RATM, ACDC, they all sound the same because it's their own personal sound. What I meant way back whenever, was that Nickelback have the same topic for their song, roughly all the same music and all they do to make any difference between one song and the next is change the words around a bit. Nirvana had lyrical exploration, they had varying music, and they made things different.

I'm sorry for having a go at you but I seriously thought it was just a smartarse remark. In the sense of what I was meaning in that post, I couldn't see how anyone could link Nirvana to Nickelbacks low level of reproductive trash.

& Creed, haha, I never liked them since i first heard them when i was like...10?
