classic rock is boring and repeatative too. sicne you know, its classic, there isn't going to be anything new. i hate hearing the same damn songs over and over. 80s rock is worse... i think i'd rather suffer through a few franz ferdninand songs and listen to an alternative station.

yes, and no. I don't listen to the radio much anymore anyways, but I do listen to alot of older music, and I find that I am always discovering songs that I haven't heard before, whether they are b-sides or just stuff that never quite made it to the radio, classic rock or older rock music is fresh and new to me becuase of that. What I hate is when they take one newer song that is decent, like be yourself by audioslave, and they play it every 30 minutes on 10 different station till it gets to the point where you hate it, even though it's not a bad song. And I agree on the 80's rock for the most part, it sucks. It all sounds so much the same to me, I think that is about the time when everyone started copying everyone instead of being creative and bands having distinct sounds, like back inthe 60s and 70s.

Yeah I know what you mean, that's a good song too. I hate it when radio stations kill a song like that. Then again, if they played it twice a day, we'd all be complaing about how they don't play it enough.

Jesus, get off the classic rock thing already!! At least these crummy songs have only been around 5 years. I mean Christ, I am 30 years old. Do you know how many friggin times I have heard "Rock and Roll" or "warpigs" in my life? If it is any more than 10 years old I really don't want to listen to it anymore, and if that band is no longer making music I have no more use for them. That's enough for now, I have Nirvana CD's to throw away

So they're all bad, whats the big deal. Don't listen to them. If you didn't expect a 2005 version of Pink Floyd to come thundering out of the woodwork every 2 seconds you wouldn't be so sorely dissapointed.

Some of the music out there is really good. And whiles it's fustrating to have bands like Nickelback classed as rock by the radio stations, we all know they are only the skidmarks on the underpants of rock music.

The skidmarks everyone can smell but no one really wants to know about.

If that makes ANY sense whatsoever.

I'm confused...
Robert Plant's new album sucked donkey balls, and that's comin from a Zephead. He's just tryin to make any extra penny he can, and it's apparent if you listen to it. Shine on or whatever is supposed to be the hit song, well, it sucks. I like some of his solo stuff, Big Log is really good, and Ship of Fools is decent, but this new stuff of his sucks!!

from what I've heard, yes. But listen for yourself and see what you think. He sure as hell ain't no Zeppelin, that's for sure. By the way, off topic sort of kind of, but who played guitar in big log? I love that riff at the beginning that shows up again later in the song, I'm sort of ashamed I don't know...
