That and hair metal kind of..well it isn't that metal and to be honest i think its more hard rock, like motley cure and twisted sister and such really don't have a metal sound to them as to other metal genres goin' on in the 80s that did.

It's not metal. It's a disgrace.
and Perfection, I included As I Lay Dying not out of personal prefrence (I'm not a huge fan), but rather because I think they better typify the "metalcore" sound. Unearth is much more technical and well, metal, than AILD. good band though.

I felt that an explination was neccessary. There are alot of nu-metal fans out there and defining the style was needed. needed to keep people from getting into nu-metal. to Perfection: word.
