trevor phipps - unearth (i know he doesnt sing....but i love the scream)
phil anselmo - pantera (ok not so 'neo' but meh)
matt heafy - trivium (yeah....people may hate me for these three...but heafy's got a voice on him.)

those are in no particular order....and that opinion is subject to change when i discover new music....but for now....those are my opinion of the best in metal at the moment.

what are they then? do you even know? i have been listening to slipknot since they started (around 1999 - well........since corey talor becane lead singer)
and as far as I am aware, they are NU-METAL not heavy or goth metal like all those chav's here in the uk are convinced they are!

and one more thing:
stop bashing slipknot JUST coz you don't like them! i don't like queen, pink floyd, or iron maiden. but do you see me bashing them repeatedly?

Nu Metal.
Is barely passable as metal.
It has metal elements.
But so does crust and thats consider punk.
and besides im not even sure what nu metal is i thought it was linkin park and limp bizkit?
