They all rock, Beatles are great but they'd never come close to being my favourites. Tis their misfortune to have been so lacking of musical technology way back when they were around. But oh well, still great. Pink Floyd, loved, but wouldn't know if they were my pick. Probably lacking that punch that I like in my taste of music. Tool are awesome, but wouldn't have made my top, maybe 3rd or 4th. Big3, tsk tsk, such questions.

I pick ACDC as my favourites because they had everything I like. Closely followed by Queen and Led Zep. And Tom Petty, what a surprise, I made a thread on him a while back and got like 3 replies. The guy is an awesome musician IMO, great vocals.

Why isn't Sabbath, The Police, Deep Purple, Talking Heads, Soundgarden, or The Mothers of Invention on there? Was that not good music?

Do you see how good music doesn't work? Do you see that theres a stronger connection with most of those bands on there, and why TOOL doens't have that connection. I don't care if their on their, but when I ask "how come they made it" you don't have to fake and act like its an absurd question.

I think any band up there is better than Zeppelin.

Because I made the list, and I wanted to keep it at 20, no more. I used what is probably the top 20 bands to me, and I was just curious as to which one would win. Tool happens to be in my top 20, and I would have included soundgarden, but that would have pushed it over my 20 target. I love those bands you mentioned, with the exception of sabbath, never really liked em much. I'm not saying these are the greatest bands of all time, but they are my favorites...
