I think right now that Michael Romeo is currently the most talented Musician/lyricist/composer of the Metal scene...what he does can only be said in one way....that is it being Michael Romeownage

Well i don't know how good his music is but his name really pisses me off.

Well LesPaul I downloaded Fallen by Symphony X.

I think they are technically very good. They remind me instantly of Dream Theater. I'd have to listen to more to say if I like them all up but yeah, a solid band.

Yeah Fallen is a great song....its on my favourite album...V:The New Mytholegy.....and there are always people saying how similar dream theater and Symphony X are.....but i dont like DT what so ever lol

It'll be songs like Pull Me Under and Learning To Live that seem similar.

Particularly Pull Me Under.

I have not heard either of those 2 songs.....my guitar teacher was pretty into DT for a while and he kept showing me song but i just never liked it

DT are technical. Extremely technical. Their music is written in a very orthodox manner so when you listen to it, it feels like it's computer generated, it's that accurate. Unfortunately it gets very tedious due to so much strain placed on making 'perfect' music.

Yeah Symphony X is also a very technical band but they truly do let loose on stage russel Allan is like pushing Michael Romeo around while hes shredding the most amazing solos and hes not even making any single mistakes

I guess thats where you see no similarities between the two.

Because DT would probably cry if they made a mistake.

Well as far as it goes...i like Symphony X more and i like the compopsition better also with symphony X

The compositions of Symphony X definately are their strengths. I personally hate the cheesy nature of their sometimes song topics and album covers. Romeo is very much underrated, prolly my second favorite metal guitarist behind the amott brothers of arch enemy.

O man i was just gunna bring up their album art....lol...them and rhapsody have the best album art...and their song topics are tight no matter how corny....and i dont really seem to find the topics corny at all
