Hardly been an extreme black metal band posted in this thread so far.
Anyway...Deathspell Omega,obviously. Lurker Of Chalice/Leviathan to some degree. But really,DSO are the only BM band i can think of off the top of my head that are genuinely extreme.Most other bands listed here are simply produced raw,or are atmospheric,or aren't even black metal let alone extreme black metal.Gotta lol @ someone posting Nile etc. Quote:

Nagelfar is one of my favorite bm bands. Out of Germany, they've released three albums, Hunengrab im Herbst and Stronntgorth(idk how to spell it) being their two best. Much better than Naglfar, which seems to be a much more popular band for reasons I have yet to find out.

I could actually see why someone would say Sunn O))) is black metal. Black One definitely has a black metal feel. I have seen records such as Ulver's Kveldssanger considered as black metal just for the feel when they are not clearly black metal.
